service control manager error 7026???
Hi all,
My friend is getting this error -
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7026
Date: 18/10/2004
Time: 08:10:01
User: N/A
Computer: OEMCOMPUTER
Description:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
a347bus
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Ive tried Microsoft's link, and there is no details.
He seems to only get this error whilst playing soldier of fortune 2 MP.
All his other games appear to be fine.
Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks in advance Dave.

After a bit of research the a347bus points to Alcohol120???
He assures me he doesnt have A120 installed.
Every thing i find on the net points to A120 and a well known problem, this is solved by deleting a347scsi.sys and a347bus.sys in Sys32/Drivers.
We searched for these files and couldnt find them :S
Im all out of ideas. :S .... help :P

Is this causing any other problem other than the entry in Event Viewer? Beacuase if everything else is working OK, it's probably best to just ignore it, errors in Event Viewer aren't uncommon, and are mostly trivial.
You can follow the links from here, and see if that gets you any further:
