    manual virus removal

    c:\windows\web.folder.htt has the virus vbs.soraci.A

    how can i remove it without using antivirus software.
    will any other methods work? if so what can i try?

    This suggests you may get away with using Trends online scanner, if you don't have PCCillin or another AV that can handle it.

    But that seems to be for WinME & XP, so maybe just the steps above it will work.

    I kind of doubt it would be that easy, but who knows.
