    Help.....

    Ok, since my time here at virtual dr I really need some help now. My pc won't boot. I left the pc on (running win 2k sp4) Came back and it was frozen. I thought that was weird since it has never frozen before. Now when I boot I get this error

    Award Boot Lock Bios v1.0

    Bios Rom checksum error.....

    Detecting Floppy Drive A media...

    Insert System Disk an Press Enter.

    I think maybe the CMOS Battery is weak or going south. Have you changed it within the last year?

    Also did you have a BIOS password??

    No haven't changed it in the past year, But I have used pc without c mos battery before and it just warns you about it and you can continue to boot. I'll try to change it to see if that helps. And no I didn't have bios password protected. I cleared c mos anyway sicne I thought maybe that would help but no.

    Its working fine now, I didn't change the battery yet.... Just left it off and came back. I am expecting to have to change it lets see how it goes tonight....
