PC Anywhere 10.5
Hi,
i have a phone line which is connected to both the host PC and a fax machine. Both of them are always turned on. PC Anywhere is always running on the PC.
when i try to connect to the host PC using a phone line dial-up, it gets connected. No probs. But when the PC is turned on while the PC Anywhere service is running, faxes can't be received.
can this be done?
thanks.

Bet your getting a busy signal when you try to fax the pc. PcA has a hold on the modem. You'll need to get another phone line for the fax.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

PC Anywhere should not automatically be tying up the phone line, even if you have it set to listen for a call. Try shutting down the PC Anywhere program / service and see what happens.

jdc2000 : when i shut down the PcA service/program on the PC, the faxes go thru.
Steve R Jones : is there any other way? i only got one line. i was hoping there would be some options in PcA ....
