set up wireless network

My company already set up router for wireless network. I just bought a laptop with wireless network built in. I wonder how do I set up in order to use network? Thanks.

Go talk to your Network Administrator and I'm sure he'll give you the information you need.

You'll need to get three pieces of information from him/her. What encryption level and code to use, the network logon password, and what channel the network is operating on.

Then the admin might have to open a hole for you in a firewall using your MAC address, at least he/she should if it's a secure system.

One other piece of info may come in handy - SSID. (Sort of like a wireless workgroup) Some routers offer the option to not broadcast the SSID, in which case you may need to specify this in your wireless configuration.
