Edit post changes?
Has the edit post capability changed? I just went to edit a post I put in this morning (to correct some grammer) and it came back and said that there was now a 15 minute time frame after entering a post to edit it. If this is something new then I have to ask the question: why was it implemented? If it is not new, or only effected me, then do you know what might have caused this to happen?
Please remember to post back whether your problem is resolved or
not, so that others may gain from the knowledge.

It has been set that way so you have 15 min to edit your post, after that you cannot.
This is so posts dont go missing/altered afterwards.

Regrettably we've been hit with another instance of a member attempting to go on the rampage and mangle every thread that they ever participated in. Luckily this time it was caught before too much damage was done. And in both the last two cases we have no idea why
It's a shame when the behaviour of a very few affects everyone like that, but we're not the only forum that has had to adopt these measures unfortunately.
If anybody needs something editing or deleting, then please contact your local mod.

SuperSparks--15 minutes? Good grief. It used to be something like one day. How about a compromise like two hours? I very often do some research after posting and can provide better info after a little while.

It wasn't my decision to make it 15 minutes, I'm just reporting the reason why it was implemented. But as it happens I have asked that it be made longer Welshjim.

Understand. Hopefully at some future time the limit will be able to be removed again. Once again, one bad apple screws it up for everyone.
Thanks for the response.

It has been reset to 24 hours, if anyone needs to edit a post after that they need to get in touch with me or one of the mods. BJ
