    Closing Microsoft Word

    When I want to close Document in MS Word (by pressing black cros (top right) I close MS Word. Cant close document only. How to fix it???

    Try this as a test:
    From the run window type WINWORD /A then click OK.
    Type =rand(95,30) and press enter.
    Can you close the document using the 'black X'? If so do a search for NORMAL.DOT. When found make sure Word is closed and go ahead and delete NORMAL.DOT. You should now be able to close Word properly.
