    Mod, please feel free to move the thread where it would belong

    Just curious,
    Would the next MS OS LongHorn come as an update, also? : so we can upgrade XP to Longhorn? Would it be a good idea?

    No, it will be a separate product.

    But Microsoft does plan on releasing some of the features as a patch for XP. Press release

    We have a good two YEARS before we have to worry about it. Several new articles out about how MS is scaling down plans for LongHorn to get it out the door.

    You didn't miss anything Steve, I tried it in Virtual PC 2004, and it was unusable, with the CPU permanently pegged at 100%. I'm hoping the next build will be better.

    It runs alright if you can give it a real machine -- it's just VPC performance which sucks.

    I have those cds too Sparky....and it was soooooo slow....and I have a real computer.
