A2 question
A squared claims in their scan that AdAware, Pest Patrol and some Driver Update software are malwares. Why?

When A2 scans it will find the Quarintine/backups made by other software. So you are not infected per se. Delete these Quarintine/backups and scan again. You should come up clean.
As for the Driver Update, can you be more specific? What is being reported?

Leurgy, these are not the quarantined items, these are the original software in my backup directory. I think A2 is in error.

Pest Patrol is also posted as giving false positives when adaware is installed so it may be a similar thing going on.

The a² personal Trojan scanner is somewhat notorious for false positives. I suggest replacing it with either:
TrojanHunter
OR
TDS-3
TrojanHunter costs $39 and they give you a 30-day free trial period. They also have a great forum site.
Others have said that TDS-3 is at least the equal of TrojanHunter but it is best used by experienced pros (not me). TDS-3 also costs $10 more than TrojanHunter.
