Netscape 7.1 Folder
How do you create a new folder in the
bookmark section, and how do you
move bookmarks into the new folder.
7.1 works different than netscape 4.79.
Thanks, Jerry

Assuming 7.1 is the same as 7.2?
Click Bookmarks | Manage Bookmarks | New Folder, type in a name and click OK. (Note: If you want your new folder in a particular place within your bookmarks, click the line above where you want the folder first. If you don't, it'll end up clear down at the bottom of your list of bookmarks).
To move a single bookmark into a folder, right-click the bookmark, select Move Bookmark(s)... then select the folder you want it moved into.
If you want to move a few bookmarks that are scattered about within your bookmark list, hold down the [Ctrl] key as you click each one, then right-click any one of the ones that are highlighted, select Move Bookmark(s)... then select the folder you want them all moved into.
If you have a sequential set of bookmarks that you want to move, click the topmost one once to highlight it, scroll down until you see the last one you want then hold down the [Shift] while you click it, (they should all be highlighted now). Right-click anywhere in the highlighted area, select Move Bookmark(s)... then select the folder you want them all moved into.
Note: Once any one or more bookmarks are selected (highlighted) you can un-select one by holding down the [Ctrl] key while you click the one you don't want highlighted.
Hope this makes sense? Sure is easier to do than it is to try and type it.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have just
ordered a cd on Netscape 7.2. Do you
find it better that 7.1.
Thanks, Jerry

You're Welcome.
Never used version 7.1. Jumped from 4.08 to 4.78, then to 6.2 then finally on to 7.2 here just the other day. Guess you can tell that as long as everything's working fine, I really don't do much updating ... 'till I'm forced to.
