    ICS Windows XP and Red Hat 9

    How to establish ICS between Windows XP (server, cable modem) and Red Hat 9 (client).
    ICS on XP is enabled, crossover cable is OK. I'm newbie in Red Hat

    You will probably need to either enable the XP box as a DHCP server, or manually assign IP addresses to both machines. The RH machine will have the IP address of the XP machine as it's default gateway. Read this for a Mandrake example:

    Sorry I cant give you specifics on this..I don't have access to a RH9 machine.

    What IP address does the RH machine have? As root (su command) run the ifconfig command from a terminal. What is it's output? What does XP have as it's IP address etc?
