Do you use themes?
If you are going to slipstream SP2 Into your copy of XP like I am, you may want to Install the hacked uxtheme.dl_ file Into the i386 folder before burning.
That way, you will not have to Install the hacked uxtheme.dll after you Install XP.
Found this over at Neowin

Anyone planning on slipstreaming an XP CD using SP2 might be interested in seeing the Elder Geek's page on it.

DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER: A smaller, more appropriate download will be available soon on Windows Update. To receive this download, turn on the Automatic Updates feature in Windows XP to receive an optimized download of SP2.

I want to get SP2 on a CD from Microsoft. Has anyone found a way to get this yet?
Some people see more in a walk around the block than others see in a trip around the world.

Of course you can. It's just that MS is recommending that people who just want to update their systems do it through Automatic Updates or wait for it to be on Windows Update. The point is that this is the network install package, geared at IT admins.
(If you are putting it on a CD, then this is the package you need... although you will be able to order it for free on a CD from MS very soon. I think even free shipping but don't quote me on that.)

I've also been reading in various places, though I can't find anything definite about it from MS, that they will be distributing it on magazine cover disks as well. They want this one to be installed on as many machines as possible.

Just yankin' your string Rapmaster
But even on broadband, i'd wait until the internet traffic slows down and the the big 'grab'it' that always happens when something this big first comes out slows down to get it...

Hi all,
Well, I just finished installing SP2, on this PC and everything is working so far. Please note that I had the RC2 copy of SP2 prior to this so I didn't see any changes. Booting time is as fast as it was before and the programs I have tried all work. I got a large number so haven't tried them all.
I am going to burn this to a CD and install on several other machines I have here.
cheers, mac
If computers are so smart, why don't they just fix themselfs??
