    What's going on?

Hi, three threads by Vernon on security related issues. I responded and added an additional site for members edification. I thought that was the reason they were posted. Now I see all three closed and my responses deleted. No reference to me as to why. Have I missed some new policy or is there some other reason that I am unaware of.

I think Vernon was creating stickys. Apparantly, you snuck in with replies before he had a chance to close them.

Give him a PM and see if he would like any help.
It just blew me away with so many posts from him in quickk order.
    The best to all,

Sorry jenae ... just now ran across this Thread.

You must have caught me in the middle of creating/editing/setting up those three Threads? Sure didn't mean to delete any of your posts, especially without some sort of explanation.

As far as all my new posts in the "Viruses/Trojans/Spyware" Forum, sorry about that too. As most of us are all well aware, "Security and Privacy" problems are immense and we, (the VirtualDr staff), are just getting started with trying to figure out how to get a handle on it.

Infectious PC diseases in our online world are rapidly approaching epidemic proportions. Logon on today and not only does your PC immediately risk infection from Viruses, Spyware, Trojans, Worms, Adware, Parasites, Malware, Keyloggers and Scumware, you are confronted by Spam, Financial Scams and Indentity Theft. Here are but a few facts to ponder:
    1. In the first six months of this year 4,677 new Viruses were released. That's 25+ per day ... and that is just viruses alone.
    2. EarthLink and Webroot Software recently scanned over one million Internet-connected computers and on average they found almost 28 Spyware programs running on each computer.
    3. Even more serious, they found Keyloggers and RATs on more than 30% of all systems scanned.
    4. Another study conducted by AOL revealed that 62% of broadband computer users did not have current Anti-Virus software. (See "A" above).
    5. They also found that over 90% of users had Spyware installed on their systems.
    6. Even our United States Department of Homeland Security is lamenting the fact that millions of users have not secured their systems.
If we are interested in helping to fight this global epidemic, we need to:
    1. Educate ourselves and our Members
    2. Eradicate all diseases from each Member's PC
    3. Inoculate every Member's PC against further infection
One heck of a lot to do I know. But we're off to a good start. Not only does our new separate "Security and Privacy > HijackThis Logs" Forum enable us to concentrate our efforts on a specific problem, it is reducing the "HijackThis Log" clutter in all the other Forums.

As it stands right now though, that leaves but one other "Security and Privacy" Forum for everything else. Current News, Warnings and Updates as well as the necessary Tools, informational/instructional Articles and helpful Links must ALL be placed into our "Viruses/Trojans/Spyware" Forum. Confusing I know, but we currently have no other choice.
