computer hangs up whentrying to access home network

Three computers on the network sharing the same DLS through a router. One computer has XP Home, the other two ME.
When we first hooked up the two ME computers, sharing between them worked perfectly. All was as it should be. Then while I was copying some files from the other ME machine to my ME machine, my computer crashed (I think it was just a memory thing, I was trying to do too many other things at once). Since I restarted my computer that one time, I have never been able to access either of the other computers on the network. My camputer always hangs up when I try to access any shared folder on either of the other machines, or when I click on Entire Network. I can usually get out of it with a ctrl+alt+del and end task. I tried redoing the home networking wizard with no luck. Please help!

do u try to check whether is the hardware problem? try to change the network card and see whether is still the same...

Is the machine in question able to connect with the internet through the router i.e. its just an internal network problem?
is the network card showing a green connected light on the back of the PC?
Recheck all cables are fully inserted [I take it your using CAT 5 cabling not thinnet?]

Open a dos windows on the machine in question and type IPCONFIG /ALL then post the results along with those from the other machines as this should indicate if they are actually on the same settings and should be able to communicate.

EDIT ................
ME and below should be able to use the START/RUN command winipcfg for similar results.
