odd folders?¿?¿
Ok, I have to random questions about folders. First off, when cleaning my registry of invalid entries, alot of times i come across entries that's paths point to StartMenu2\Programs.....what is StartMenu2??
Second, I have a folder on each partition called INCINERATE. I can only see it when i am browsing with ETrust AV, and in it are 2 files (that I can see): desktop.ini and Info.shr. What is it for, is it safe to delete?

Have you ever installed System Mechanic before? If so, that's where the incinerate folder is coming from.
Where are the keys that are pointing to StartMenu2?

I did have system mechanic but didn't like it so I removed it. I went ahead and deleted the incinerate folders, about to reboot and if anything for some reason goes wrong, then I know why.
AS for the StartMenu2 entires, there seems to be one for every program that has had a folder in Start Menu>Programs. Everytime i use the cleaner with jv16 powertools, all its finds is all entries like this
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\eTrust EZ Armor\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Evrsoft\1st Page 2000\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Evrsoft\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\FreshDevices\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\FTP Voyager\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\Games\]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs\GiPo@Utilities\]
More liek this, and they seem to come back after alittle while. Any ideas?

XP has two different startmenu's, one for the Classic Start menu another for the XP Start menu
For XP Start menu:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu2\Programs]
For Classic Start Menu:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu\Programs]
It is safe to delete these entries, The Start Menu will be alpha sorted again.
As for your folder INCINERATE, it is part of System Mechanic as Dr. Gibbs mentioned. I think it can only be deleted from within System Mechanic or maybe dos.

Thank you for the replies. Regarding the INCINERATE folder, I used rd /s /q C:\Incinerate and ity got rid of it. As for StartMenu2, Train I have never even heard of that or downloade dit or anything, and no StartMenu2 entry in uninstall menu, so I don't think its the same Start Menu2, but just as long as its a normal thing then its ok. Thanks again.

I've never heard that before. I don't have anything called "StartMenu2" in my registry.

Kinda found my own answer, but this was taken from HERE :
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder contains the sort order of the Favorites menu and Start menu. The subkey Favorites contains the sort order of the Favorites menu. The subkey Start Menu contains the sort order of the classic Start menu, and the subkey Start Menu2 contains the sort order of the new Start menu.
Deciphering the contents of these three keys is next to ridiculous, but you can remove any of them to resort the corresponding menu in alphabetical order. For example, to restore the All Programs menu to alphabetical order, remove the subkey Start Menu2."
