Bring back my Windows Explorer !
I finally moved into the 21st century and installed XP (Home, NTFS) on a system.
How does one use the Windows Explorer view that previews the file in the left pane?
And how do you get it to start with C:?
When I have time I'll study up on %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%
Meanwhile. anything I specify in the shortcut's "Start In" field opens at the Desktop which, illogically, is displayed as superior to c:

The "Target" value should look like this:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:\

It's really no different to customising the explorer view in Win98/ME. Here's a KB article:
