Opera Dial-up
Is there any way to get Opera to dial-up like IE or Mozilla? The only way I can use Opera is to dial-up with IE (or Mozilla) and click on Opera.
Seems like that should be a way to dial-up directly. Checked help and Opera forum and found nothing.
Thanks for your help.

Not sure but you could always drag a network connection shorcut to either the desktop or the quick start bar and use that to dial up.

This same issue was discussed here some time last year.
I can't remember all the details, but you had to enable something under Service. It may have been "Network Connections" set to {manual}. Not totally sure, but do know that I had the same issue and when I changed the "Services" setting, Opera worked after that...

I found the link from last year, try this and set the 2 to Automatic...
It's this 'Remote Access Auto Connection Manager' and the 'Remote Access Connection Manager' under Services where the problem lies. I did find through another thread that Opera does have a entry on this. BTW, Mozilla was the same way, it's not just a Opera issue!

I set the two mentioned services to Auto, the only problem is that when the computer starts, it dials and that is not what I am looking for.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Opera seems to say that this is not possible, as I said it works fine with Mozilla and Firefox.

Then try setting them to Manual. I have both set to Auto and I don't have the redial issue as you described. hth

They were set to "Manual", but Opera would not dial. On
the "Automatic" setting, IE dialed automatically. I guess I just live with this very minor problem, Opera is great.
