Pc reboots while hosting a game.
I play Aces High 2. It is a combat flight simulator by a small company called Hitech Creations. Its fun by the way. Well for the last 16 months we have been testing before they finailly came out of beta stage. Well I have a problem and can't figure it out. I will host a game for others to join and right as someone joins the pc will do a cold reboot. I have no idea why. I am thinking its a bug but no one else seems to be having the issue. Basicly this is how it happens. I'll open the room everything is find. Once someone joins bam restarts the whole pc. I can join other people's rooms just fine with no problem. Just when I host it does it. Is there a way to tell what exactly is going on just before this happenings? I am running Windows 2000 SP4. Gets real annoying because I used to always host in Aces High and now people asking me were is my room. Does Windows 2000 create a log or something I can look at in these types of events?

Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event viewer, in the System and Application logs would be the first place to look.
Also go to Control Panel>System>Advanced>Startup & Recovery, and uncheck "Automatically restart". If it's a Windows or a driver problem rather than hardware, then you'll get a Stop error instead of the restart, which is much easier to troubleshoot.

Ok, I looked and I have A LOT of errors dealing with PerfNet. What does PerfNet do? I turned off automatic restart and I wll host later to see what stop error I get.

Find the event ID code, and then you can find out about what it is here:

I think I know whats causing it. I got a blue screen with a bunch of numbers at the top. And it says below that begining dump of physical memory.
