Info on Builtin CDburning in XP

    G'day all.

I have an online friend who runs XPPro and used the built-in burner program to create a backup of her web page - zip file. Of course this did not use the whole CD, she has now changed some of the things on her website, and would like to create another backup on the same CD. I know with Roxio and others, the session can be burned but the CD be left open, and other files etc., be added / burned to it later. Is the same possible with the XP burner? Where does one find the place to set these parameters if it can be done? My info tells me that the program itself is imapi.exe in XP. Can anyone shed some more light on this? I have heard some not so good things about this - basic program/ not reliable etc. Would it be best to just use another software prgram?

Thanks for any and all information.

The provision for multisession is the default with the XP burning facility. All your friend needs to do is just do another burn (with the new files, a new session will be started. The session gets closed at the end of the burn, but the disc is not finalized.

Thanks DrMDJ for the quick reply and the information. That is exactly what I wanted to know. Will pass this on to her - know she will be happy.

    Thanks again,
