Installing Yahoo Messenger 6.0

When the final release of 6.0 comes out, will I need to uninstall the beta I'm currently running, or can I install over it?

You probably can install it over itself. But I wouldn't. I would go to add/remove and when you click to remove yahoo messenger make sure you choose a custom uninstall and then select all so every trace of messenger is removed.

Also if you have any messages saved in message archive they will be lost on an uninstall. So be sure to save them before uninstalling.

Is there any way to uninstall without losing my settings?

Not that I know of. I have heard of people installing it without uninstalling, but you have to make sure to not have the program running when you install it.
