thats interesting..., so it doesn't matter where you are in location.., just if your that close to an exchange..., so you could live in like the middle of no where with a population of almost nothing but since your town has an exchange next to where you live for whatever reason then you can get DSL...

well.., I asked my dad and he says it's about 3 miles from the edge of the road that is in back of us.., (our drive way goes to a road in front of our house but the road behind our house is actually closer) so it is about 4 miles from our house..., isn't that great..., I am curious if we could get a some sort of signal booster at the edge of the road..., I am going to have to find how far each of my friends is from the exchange as well....

I talked it over with the friend of mine that can probule get cable internet since he has digital cable tv service, I assume that he should be able too.., but anyway, if we could get him to get it we could have a few friends of mine pay a share of the costs and get the price to where it is almost nothing...,
are there different speeds of cable.., I always here about different speeds of DSL.., we would definately need a faster connection...,

This is starting to sound like fun.., I mean if we were to do this.., then we would put together a server at my friends house with the connection.., with a proxy server, ect. and maybe a e-mail, ect. server while we're at it..., not to mention that this way we will be connected in almost a LAN.., so we could share files and play games at fast speeds...

how much will the trees deteriate the wireless connection?

thanx again,
Byan
