    USB 2.0 PCI Card

I just installed a three port USB 2.0 Belkin PCI card. Everything went fine. When I booted up the new hardware was found and drivers installed. As this moment I have no USB 2.0 devices, but when I plugged in a ZiO! card reader with a Secure Digital card I could use the port to send data to the card. So I know the card is working. I just don't know at what speed.

The manual that accompanied the card says that "USB 2.0 Root Hub Device" is supposed to show in device manager. It does not. Aida 32 also cannot see it. Everything else that is supposed to show does. There is no red or yellow stuff in device manager.

If I never intend to attach a hub, how important is this missing item?

Since I do not currently have any USB 2.0 devices, is there any way I can test to see if I have 2.0 or 1.1 speed? How do I know that 2.0 is working?

    Thanks for your help.

The wording Enhanced would suggest it is USB 2 capable.

    Thanks 104456.

Is there any way, short of plugging in a High speed device, that I can test it?

Not really it requires a high speed device to put the outlet under load like a CDR,externel drive etc before you will know.

I have a MUVO2 MP3 player on back order. Should arrive next week. I can test it with that.
