    Real Bugs

Every now and then lately I see this little red ant cruising around on my keyboard but I'm too slow to physically squish it, and it gets away. Up around the escape key.

    Any suggestions?

Now if those are fireants. Best get started and real hard. They do tend to take over worse than the other ants.

Boric acid mixed 50/50 with sugar . Add a bit of water and stir to make a syrup. Place in car lids and set out where those critters ONLYan get to them. Takes about 2 weeks and they will be gone.

I've seen these little ants before.

It seems they leave a scent trail to a food source.

    Shall I change keyboards?

Dude, you have to try and lure him/her to the delete key. If there are more than one then left click on the 1st one then hold the shift key and left click again on the 2nd one, then right click, delete, it will get rid of them all at once. Or you could use the cut&paste option and send them next door. hope this helps.

Had an ant problem at work. When the pest controll guy came out guess what he ended up using, TERRO, an ordinary product that anyone can find. If it's good enough for the bug man then it's good enough for me.

Oh yeah and better to miss the ant then get him because he'll strike back by leaving nasty bug guts on your esc key. Then of course you'll have to push on the corner of the key every time to avoid the squished bug if you're like me and don't bother to clean it off.

    Well,

You could try scrapping a little of the sticky off a fly strip and put it near the place he was last seen. Once stuck, you can nail him with a BIG hammer!

Er, on second thought, maybe not so good...
