Relationship of Datamation and Server Watch to VirtualDR.

I found VirtualDr a couple years ago through HardwareCentral.com. Now there are two shortcuts to both the 'Server Watch' and 'IT Management' (thanks to Big John apparently). However, these two forums are virtually empty rooms (and I had to reregister for both).

I just wondered what kind of relationship exists between the sites? If they are both parts of Internet.Com, how come there isn't tighter 'integration'. Both of those sites could really share the membership of virtualDR.

Hopefully, both sites will become less of a dead end. I have volunteered my services at Server Watch to no avail (GUNDERSTONE hasn't answered my PM's there).

    Any thoughts?

Yes this appears to sum it all up. Stock market investors seem to be driven by numbers rather that results.

I have the same question as Pat. In fact I posted a question over on one of their other forums some while ago, and like most other questions there it still remains unanswered. Take a look.

In an area where volunteers do all the work, something needs to happen to get that initial momentum, Jupiter media could employ a couple of gurus for a few months to start answering questions, using several different nics if they like, till the places gain some credibility and the volunteers follow.

With the downturn in the IT industry they should be able to pick up a couple of turned on gurus for a song. BF

Server Watch is NEARLY dead. There isn't even a feedback forum.

I don't know if the 'build it they will come' tactic is going to work. Really, all of these forums should be somehow consolidated. The user base here is prime.
