    Hard Disk in External Caseing

    I got a 120Gbt H D in an External Caseing on PCI USB2 (but working as usb1 at moo)..It is FAT32.....If I redo it as NTFS will another comp running as FAT32 Recognise it....will i be able to transfer n install Photos n MP3s to it via FAT32 system!!....?

    It depends on what OS is on the other computer. If it's running Windows 9x or ME then it won't recognise NTFS, if it's running NT/2000/XP then it'll recognise it just fiine.

    In my eperience I've found that Fat32 works a lot faster with external HDD's, so I'd keep it that way. You also have the extra advantage of transferring files between XP and 98 machines.

    Mmmmmmmmmmm! I knew I should of Left Well alone....LOL....
    Now NTFS....Ruddy USB2.0 was NOT Working with it either....Took me 2 n half days to Defrag the Darn thing.....All Done now..
    That'll teach me a lesson......I might put it back into the Tower n conect it to the PCI ATA100 card....Would it work faster that way!?
