AOL attachments question?
I don't have AOL and don't know anything about it but my sister-in-law uses it and she can't open or save any .jpg pictures I sent her thru e-mail. The pictures are regular .jpg digital photos and everyone else has no problem opening them or saving them. She isn't very computer savy and I think she's running AOL 6. She lives 3000 miles away so I can't very well check her problem out. Are there any settings in her AOL that I could have her check. Any help would be appreciated. Does AOL use Internet Explorer and Outlook Express or do they use their own IE and E-mail?
TIA,
Tufenuf

AOL uses its own IE and email. I'm using AOL and I am able to open .jpg files. No settings as far as I know exist other than to block all email, certain addresses or only allow email from other AOL members/Buddy list.
From her sign on screen ask her to go to Settings>Preferences>Email and check the box 'allow all'. Also in Preferences click Privacy and check the box 'allow all'. Also in Prefernces click 'Download and make sure the box 'automatically display images after download' is checked and see if that makes any difference.
Good luck

TJolly, Thanks for the feedback and I'm e-mailing her your suggestions to try.
Thanks again,
