    Quick question about Dual-booting

I just got a new HDD.., I want to have XP and SUSE on a Dual-boot..., do I just install XP then SUSE and the booting sequence will take care of it's self(like if I installed 2 different versions of Windows) or do I need a third party booter?

    Thanx in advanced,
    Byan

It is not that simple and from my experience, it's a pain to have XP and Linux (I use Peanut and maybe that's the problem). I would just make a bootable floppy for the Linux install and avoid most of the headache. I think Lilo and Grub are the two most common boot loaders.

    Howdy:

I ran SuSe and XP as well as Fedora (and most of the others) with XP with absolutely no problems whatsoever.. Mind you, I had XP installed on c: drive and I installed Linux on a separate harddrive after..

Linux loaded its own bootloader that I was able to configure as to which OS I wanted as default.. Again, went slikck as can be.. And it is THAT SIMPLE !!!

    Hi,
You need to first install XP on drive C, after that you can install Suse on Drive C or on another drive, the linux bootloader will takecare of everything else.
