    Can't open Excel

    AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Excel was working fine one minute and *POOF*, can't open it the next!

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Office several times. Did a reg cleaner in between installs. Excel still won't open. All other Office programs open fine.

    Any thoughts?

BTW...I can open an excel file in IE. Go figure.
To err is human. To forget to turn the NumLock on is just plain stupid.

Until someone that knows comes along..... give this a shot:

Go to Start, and then click Run.
In the "OPEN" box type in
    "Excel.exe /unregserver".
***if it says it cannont find Excel.exe you must then click the browse button and find the Excel.exe file.

    Should look like this:"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /unregserver

    Click "OK".

Then go back to Start, Run. Then type in the same information (ex. "Excel.exe /unregserver"). Then change the /unregserver to /regserver.

    Worth a shot?
    Hope this helps.

    The link falcon2000 should help...
I read the page that was linked and I saw the fix I always use...
Do the fix for the corrupted toolbar... Delete Excel.Xlb and then try to start excel and everything should work. I can't tell you how many times I hve had to do that fix at my job. I will be somewhat surprised if you post back saying that it did not work.
