Intel Express 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch

I am trying to configure an Intel Express 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch via a Com Port through HyperTerminal. Basically I just want to be able to give this device a static IP address. I have followed everything under the following link:

Express 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch Support

...to no avail. It says by default the device has no username or password, but when I simply hit enter at these prompts, it just takes me back to the login: prompt. Anyway of resetting it's configuration to default?

    Hi Nem1s1s

Not familiar with this particular device, but many such devices have a reset button (albeit very small and inside a hole to prevent false operation) to put the device back to default configeration. My guess is that someone before you has inserted a username and password. BF

    I found this:

Networking and Communications - Lost or Forgotten Password

might try that tomorrow after hours...will also look for that reset button.
