Hello over there in White Cloud! Very nice part of the state!

What Operating systems are you using on both PC's and what network hardware are you using? (Network cards and wireless equipment also)

    My system specs...
THE ES - 5,120 (640 8-way nodes) 500 MHz NEC CPUs. 8 GFLOPS per CPU (41 TFLOPS total). 2 GB (4 512 MB FPLRAM modules) per CPU (10 TB total) shared memory inside the node. 640 × 640 crossbar switch between the nodes with 16 GB/s inter-node bandwidth, using 20 kVA power consumption per node

The machine runs a version of the Super-UX UNIX-based OS. You mean it's not running Windows???

I take it she want's to use the laptop anyplace in the house???

I Would get either Linksys or Dlink wireless hardware. All you need is an access point, you don't need a router. You will also need a wireless PCMCIA card, (802.11b is the standard and you really will need nothing faster than that, NO 802.11g or anything else.

When you get the wireless make sure you setup WEP. There will be directions for doing this with the hardware.

Once you have all that working, and the computers can see each other you can setup the ICS (Internet connection sharing)

If you have any other questions just reply back!!!
