    Best download manager

Basically which download manager is the best.., I got DAP 5 and I have yet to upgrade since I have heard about all the crap the newer version is bring'en.

I searched the forum to find a similar thread but they seemed out-dated.

I am yet to find a real nice one..

Best Browser: MYIE2, although I am yet to try Opera since it isn't free

    Best IM client: Trillian

Best IRC client: MIRC, although trillian also has a IRC client which seems nice for people who don't use irc every day

Best Telnet client: I am yet to find a feature full non-bulky one.., right now I use a Telnet client I made but it doesn't support color, so I am attempting to make a real nice one but the road seems really bumpy and lately a tree fell in front of the road. when I need color I use GMUD but GMUD doesn't like some protocols...

    Best Firewall: Zone Alarm

For Mail: I use outlook XP since it was with office but that isn't free

Best Download Manager: I am yet to find...

I just would like to know which browser seems to be working the best and has a nice interface, ect.

    thanx in advanced,
    Byan

    Thumbs up

    Meta Products Mass Downloader! (www.metaproducts.com)
Using it for about a year, works as promised and their support is the best. Also there is a free trial period.
    Hope this helps.

I downloaded Freshdownload and it reminds me of gozilla back when gozilla was the thing to have (1999 or so), other then that it works pretty well...

the one thing I don't like about it that it doesn't allow you to hide a download window..., and that is going to get annoying..

burget, I am looking for one that is free or the kind of shareware that doesn't bug you...
free trial says it is gonna bug me...

    thanx again,
    Byan

I personally like GetRight and have used it since 2000. Before GR I used to use Go!Zilla 3.5 back in '99 but wouldn't touch any later version since it went pretty much to Crap!Zilla.
