AVG not scanning incoming email?
Using AVG free edition 6.0...A few weeks ago my incoming mail stopped having the "Incoming mail certified virus free" message at the bottom of page.
Mail I send does have the "Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free." I have not changed any settings in the AVG control center/ email scanner. All are ticked and messages are in their message boxes. OE 5 plugin is checked...(using OE 5.5. Win98SE) and as stated everything is ticked as has always been. It just stopped for some reason.
Anyone have an idea as to why or what I can do to get the confirm scan message back on my incoming mail?
Thanks for any ideas and help.

Thanks frebo, yes worth a try but didn't work.
Still no message with incoming mail.
Strange with the millions of computers out there one can still have a problem unique to oneself.
Thanks again...Still open if any suggestions.

Ok found this at AVG site. I didnt think they offered any help with Free Editions...
Q: "Why is there no certification for incoming mail even though I have this function on?"
A: In the Outlook Express application, it is not possible to add certification text to incoming mail. Body HTML messages and attachments are checked and when virus is detected, the user is informed through dialog box.
Dont know what changed but I would swear in court that I used to get incoming certifications.
