win 98 disk
i have an old copy of windows 98 (second ed.) that i seem to have misplaced the serial number for... i was wondering if there is a small application that will look at the disk and find a working serial number...
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! I NEED TO INSTALL IT ON MY OTHER COMPUTER!

PSP, its like cheese you can listen to outside

It's not on the cd. That would defeat the purpose of needing a key code.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Howdy:
You could always try calling Microsoft and trying to prove to them you have a legit copy of Win98SE and see if they will give you a Key Code for it..
PS: Don't hold your breath waiting for it !!

If as has been said this is a legit copy of win98SE and you've registered said product at M$, they indeed will furnish you a new product code. When moving a few years ago, I had Windows98FE and had registered my product with M$, I lost the book that came with my software and thus lost the product code. I called M$ and they gave me another COA code. So, if you're registered, it's worth a shot.
