    what is "IT" called?

OK, this one is driving me crazy because I can't think of what "IT" is called, so I can't do a Google search.

I'm looking for what they call the "language" used by kids when instant messaging. You know, like LOL, ROTFL, BBL, BTW, etc etc etc.

    help me!!

Free OnLine Dictionary Of Computing lets you type in any computing term and find out the meaning.

Or hit random and it will give you a term and it's meaning.

    Cool.

No No No, sorry if i confused you. I'm not looking for what "IT" is an acronym for.

I'm looking for the "term" used for the abbreviations when Instant Messaging. Like using the little smiley faces, are called emoticons.

DuaneB, that's the info I was wanting to find, THANKS!!

But now I'm going crazy trying to remember what it is called.

    It's not called netiquette either.

Here's a kids chatroom site (and another list). They call it "Chat Slang".
