    Direction Microsoft is going?

Hi all, I was just looking at pages about Microsoft next OS and came across this. It is an article about Windows Xp and the direction Microsoft is going with their OS. It is a long article but very informative. What are your opinions about it?

Reminds me of Steve Gibson! So full of paranoia and hyperbole.

This guy seems really proud of his article-- look at all the translations and links to sites who referred to his article.

And a lot of it is filled with babblings about how XP is not secure because someone can get into the recovery console with no password. He doesn't mention that anyone can crack into a Linux box too, with physical access. Physical security is everything !

The rest is all anecdotal c**p like "my cousin had a problem with SQL" or "Some people don't like the XP interface"

Disclaimer: although I do have this nice 'mvp' award from Microsoft which entitles me to lots of cool/free stuff, I also consider myself a Linux and NetWare enthusiast. An operating system is just a tool-- it's not a lifestyle.

I agree with all of you. I figured they guy was just anti-microsoft. Just wanted to make sure though. I really don't think Linux is better than Windows but I do beleive that both of them have there own place and reasons to be used.
