popnav grrrrr...
popnav
Popnav!
POPNAV!!!!!!
OK, so popnav is a typical spyware piece that installs, takes over your homepage, and creates random IE popups even when you're not in IExplore - in fact one pop-up that comes up says "tired of pop-ups? I use xxxxx pop-up stopper!", and takeover your auto searches on the web.
Now, I've run Spybot and Adaware, both with the most recent definitions, and I can't seem to get this thing out of the two computers I'm working on.
Has anyone heard of this? Or have any other advice on getting rid of it?
Thanks.

Hijack this did the trick. I downloaded it, and ran it. I was going to post it, but then I got really into doing searches on google for each entry (for learning's sake, dontcha know). It's a great tool.
Thanks.
