Script message on XP and Internet.

The message came to me just now as I was typing a thread and after I put the subject in and hit Tab to type the message I got this message:

A script in this movie is causing flash player to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort this script.

So I hit NO and everthing was fine and I went ahead and wrote this message.
So is this a cop out made up by M$ to confuse you because their XP is corrupt. I mean. What movie are they talking about? What flash player? What script?
I have seen this message four times in one day now.
Note: My questions may be to help others
    Thanks, JB

Ok but what ad. I am now in the same place. The reply for VDr. The subject and the reply box. What ad am I at. You mean any ad that is integrated with this particular page like the one at the top that says: itSMF conference Feb 2-7 bla, bla bla......Marriot Hotel

This is an ad that shows a man reading a notebook. This is the movie that is running with flash. Also, this has been discussed earlier in another thread.

And btw, I'm having the same problems, but I'm using win98.

We guys, Moderators, have no control over ads on the site. That is up to the big guys. But I can report this to Big John, our administrator and see if anything can be done.

Ok, I am here and don't see a man reading anything.
I see the same ad in the top and a different ad on the bottom talking about Earthweb.
    Please explain further.
Can I take the flash player out of the system and reload it?????
Computers never cease to amaze me. Or what it really is the programs that you put on them.
    Always a glitch.

I'm not sure what ad you're seeing jonnyb, but this is what Big John (admistrator) says on this subject.
Sorry but there is nothing that can do about it, it will run until they are out of ad time, those ads are what keeps us afloat. I am personally not having a problem with the ads, most likely the people that are having a problem failed to get some kind of update for thier browsers at one time or another.
And now, I'm sorry, but I have to close this thread.
