    Easy CD creator 5

I use windows 2000 pro and I was trying to burn a CD but when I clicked record I got an error. It said " The disc in the recorder is not the propper media for this project.Insert a blank CD or a CD with enough space to record the project".

Im only burning 10 songs. Its less than 50 minutes and the cd wich is a ' CD-R TDK brand with 80 minutes. All my files were .mp3 so I don't know whats wrong. All help is greatly appreciated!

    OK,yes and no

I was able to record and it went fine then I put it in a sterio and it only said 1 song. And I played it and I didnt hear anything. Then I put it in another sterio adn samehting.I put the CD back in my computer and it plays fine.Is it because the files are .mp3?
My sterios arnt compatible with mp3s.
The way I did it was,

    >Make CD

and I went to data cd because thats what I read on the net.If I would have done music CD or something would it have worked on my stero even though it was a .mp3 file?

    Thanks,

I think it depends on the Stereo. Only the ones that say they will play MP3's will play them as I understand it. Same goes for RW cd's. Some of the newer Stereo CD changers specifically state they are compatible with MP3 and RW.
