Cmos
At boot up, we get an error that reads:
CMOS Check Sum Error Defaults Loaded.
The machine just sits there and will not boot up until we hit a key. What does this error mean and how do we fix it? We run Win 98. Thanks.

Thank you Ghouldini. Our battery is losing power, because the clock is always wrong. Had no clue it was as simple as the battery caqusing the CMOS error. We wil change that and hopefully the error message will go away.

Put in a new battery, did general cleaning and dusting while we had the case off. Booted up and checked the settings. All seem to be fine so far. Thanks for the info.
