Hi Steppenwolf:
Is it possible that the WIN95 partition is set up for FAT32? If it is, when you boot up in the WIN3.1 partition, that will being running FAT16 -- which can't "see" FAT32 drives.
Just a thought . . .

First off, general comments about buying computer parts on ebay, although is your opinion, is just that your opinion. You get what you pay for. I build computers as a hobby, and buy and sell on ebay a lot. I have only run into one "Bad Part" and was refunded my money. I have yet "sold" a defective part.
When you installed Windows 3.1 on your second partition, it was mad active. Therefore, when you rebooted it booting to that operating system. When you "deleted" windows - BTW: Windows 3.1 is the only version of windows that can just be deleted, unless you know what your doing.
"i just wonder if the win3.1 even if its been deleted is causing lockup" - if it ain't there any more how can it cause lock ups.
Reading your other posts, you have problems that you have not resolved, installing another operating system is not going to resolve your problems.
If you want to get help take some of the advice that has been given out. You apparantly have a corrupted installation of Windows 95. You need to fix that.
What exactly do you mean by "locking Up", you need to explain exactly when it happen's, what you do when it happen's reboot, etc.
Please do not use "PM" for personal help, post in forum so everybody can learn

My guess is heat issues causing your lock ups...that and a combination of a corrupt win95 install.......suggestion....try checking for heat issues by taking the side panel off and pointing a house fan inside the case......and.....then....back up your crucial files format and do a clean install.....and if you really want to dual with 3.1 install it first....then install your 95 to a separate partition
