    files are there in dos

    but not in win 3.1 directory tree. why?

    The Windows 3.1 File Manager program allows several possible ways of viewing files on any particular drive.

    By specifying a particular "file extension" in File Manager's "view" menu, only files with that particular extension will be displayed.

    To display files you can't seem to find, specify *.* in the "list files of type box" ......( I think that's what it's called).

    Once this is done, double-click on the directory folder again or on the drive letter using File Manager to view the files you couldn't see before.

    ok thanks .. i redid the whole computer anyway ,, i wonder if it will happen again
