    Error message

    When I try to install Win XP Pro got message:

    "An unexpected error (0) occured at line 1768 in d:\xpsp1\base\boot\setup\arcdisp.c.
    Press any key to continue

    What is problem?

    From what I've found on doing a bit of research this message is caused by faulty RAM or RAM slots.

    Test with new RAM chip or known working RAM.

    Maybe RAM slot, RAM chip (SD RAM) is OK.

    In the past, I've seen this problem with multiple RAM sticks. Try removing all but one of your DIMMS during the installation. You can put them back in afterward.
