    Boot error

OK, I finally re-hooked the HDDs up as before and booted into my 20GB HDD. I then ran the XP setup but set it up on drive D, the empty drive on my 80GB HDD.

All went well, and it rebooted to the new OS on the 80GB HDD partition. I shut down in order to re hookup my zip and cdrw, but now when i boot up, it accesses the 80GB drive but says boot error from previous device (SCSI - which is my promise card)

should I try fixboot or fixmbr?

    so close....yet so far....

    Arrow Re: Troubleshooting

Please state the exact error message(s), no paraphrasing. Try entering the BIOS and loading the defaults. If you have more than one partition on the drive you may be dual or multi-booting incorrectly. There are excellent how-to's at http://www.pcnineoneone.com

I apologise for stating something you already know.
