Flasher utility needed

8500TVX Biostar Mainboard

Downloaded tvx1016b.rom but the AMI flasher on the site 'flash818.exe' does not work. Anyone have any old AMI flash utilities that could work with this BIOS. thanks.

Nemisis, as you probaly know by now, flashing the Bios can be very touchy. If it's not done correctly, well you know. See if the attached file will work for you, good luck. BJ

BIG JOHN, yeh, I know about the benefits about updating BIOS.
The .zip file you sent me was actually an old BIOS version, newer than the one that is currently on the system but older than the one supplied on the BIOSTAR site. Also, there is no flasher contained in that .zip file as I have also downloaded that file before.

BIG JOHN, it's ok, client has picked up his PC. I was going to upgrade his CPU to a PR166 over the current PR120 but I couldn't be screwing around anymore. thanks anyway BJ.
