    Is there a way to take a screen shot in Windows XP??

    Press "Print Screen", then paste the image into your favorite photo editing program as save in whatever format you prefer.

    hit print screen, and then create a file in an image editor, and then paste it in..

    ALT + Print Scrn will capture the current window to your clipboard. Usefull for error messages.
    If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    I'm with Steve. I always resize the window I want to grab to the smallest possible size while still showing needs to be shown, then use ALT+Print Screen. There's very seldom a need to capture the entire desktop.
