I've been advising people (and computer owners) not to buy Fujitsu disks for years. I know of several who now have nice shiny door-stops.
Anyone can make a mistake - to make a really good job of it use a computer.

Dang it!! My 4.3 giggy that came with a PC(custom built by shop) back in 98' just missed. It lasted 'bout a year and has been a paperweight ever since. No more fujyitsu's for me after 'that' one...

I had several of those that I had to rma and get new ones....but I never spent a dime on data recovery so I dont think I am due anything on this settlement.....too bad....

I've worked for a British company(exICL) that is linked with C@mpaq,HP and Fuj!tsu mainly in the warrenty deptment. When I was there temping for 6months we had 3-4pallets/week of Fuj!tsu harddrives all of which had suffered HDDCF (Harddisk controller failure),even the technicians who fault tested said they were a piece of [email protected] can't say i complained because they provided me with work for so long!.
I've been thinking of getting a c@mpaq laptop for many months and i think i'll pass and get IBMthinkpad instead mainly because of C@mpaqs association with Fuj!tsu.

I have had a 20 gig fujitsu returned to them for 6 weeks after failing electronicly.
I now call them every second day and still cant get an answer on whether they will honour their warranty.
For me i now will totally avoid their products.

I have a couple of them, but they are too old, and the funny thing is, they work very well for me. Lately the drives I have had problems with are Maxtor, especially the 30 GB variety. I guess they were all just a bad batch or something.
Tech Talk to me !!!
Give it UP!!!
PLEASE???

They don't make drives like they used to! I have an old 2.5Gb Fujitsu HDD on an older computer and it works great! I have always had trouble with Maxtor Drives, I always stay away from them!
