Memory Banks!!

Hi All.......OS WinXP Pro, Abit KG7Lite, Athlon Thunderbird 1.2Mhz.
2x256DDR pc2100@133Mhz=512Mbt...2 rows 4 banks...
got a Samsung M3 68L3313BT1-CB0 and a
Hyundai HYMD132 6458-H..........
OK...AIDA32 reports all is OK.......BUT.......Belarc Advisor says this..
511Mbs instead of 512Mbt....Slot Bank 0 is Empty....Slot Bank 1 is Empty.....Slot Bank 2 has 256Mbt........Where has my other un gone.....Every progy says i have 512Mbt but i think i might have a prob that i can't put my finger on....(Only got Two Banks on this Board)So how can Slot 1 be Empty......

Memory Read Test-----Write Only= 361MB/s (should be at it's lowest for this board 500MB/s)So that's LOW
Memory Write Test-----Read Only= 1172MB/s (should be at it's Lowest for this board 1700MB/s).....And this is LOW
Does all this mean that one of my Memory sticks is Faulty.....or is something else faulty!!...

Whenever I go into BIOS n do some changes to get my System to Run at it's Optimum Best, it will DEFAULT back to its Default Settings for no apperant reason.........
APPART from all that, SYSTEM is RUNNING OK, but Slower than it should......
Any Ideas.............Hope you followed what i was trying to explain!!..lol

I could think that maybe a BIOS upgrade from the Motherboard manufacturer's website might correct this problem.

You can look for an upgrade..... but,

Follow the instructions very carefully or you will have more provlems than you could EVER imagine.

As far as the slowness goes, clean out your system and especially all the temp/internet files and close all the programs running in the background that you are NOT using.

What does the POST report?
Also look in Task Magager>Performance (right-click the Taskbar) and see hopw much RAM is reported there. If everything is reporting 512MB except Belarc then I wouldn't worry about it. None of those utilities report perfectly every time.

Hi Prophet.....The IT shop that tried to do my New Hard Disk n failed misserably, Did a Bios Update for me.....Have checked it out n it looks Correct......I won't ever attempt one until some Clever Clogs make it Easier for us........
System is CLEAN.....Gets Done every Two Days or Less......100%
Got ALL Spyware Programs, Virus Programs etc etc etc n Use em..

Hi SuperSparks, (once again)...All other progys show 512Mbt....
At this moment, Task Manager is showing I'm useing CPU usage 3% PF Usage 159Mb whilst in this Forum >>Physical Memory=total 523760 >>Available= 299564 (but alternateing up n down) System Cache= 382172.....So that Looks OK to me!...But don't mention 512Mbt.....Perhaps I'm Worrying for no reason....

It's that i've noticed a slow down since this came back from IT shop....n it keeps pointing to my Memory, seeing that Bios won't let me Tweek or even put System to it's Optimum without Defaulting once started up...(That Shop is now Boycoted by me n friends!).....
My Brain is just Not Electronicly minded for the inside of my Tower.
Perhaps someone will smile upon me n I'll win the Lottery, then I can Upgrade my Board n Processor...........Have a Good Weekend..
