No Sound

A couple of hours ago I was playing around on my computer and it froze up. Well I had to restart it and when it came back on the sound was gone. I have a sound control on my keyboard and when I turn it nothing comes out. So I turn up the sound on the task bar still I hear nothing. Can someone please help me out. I would really appreciate it.

Check Device Manager for any problems with the sound card.
If none, then make sure the card is fully inserted, and all of its cables are securely connected.
If that's ok, then uninstall the sound card's software in Add/Remove Programs, and reinstall it.
If still no luck, then try another sound card.

no idea. He does it all the time though. He owns a computer store so he knows all of this. Thanks anyway.
