NT Backup Problems
Hi,
I am having problems with NTBackup i am using the same script on all servers all have same hardware, but on one server, if i run a backup it completes and the log under verify reveals:
"Error: 4mm DDS does not contain archive media"
When i attempt to do a restore it doesnt work.
Can somebody please help me resolve this as i am struggling now.
Thanks.Chris

I'm not a big user of NTBackup, but in the event you do not find your solution on this board, please check out
http://www.tek-tips.com
They have quite a few backup guru's on there who use NTBackup and may be able to help you out further.

... but do you get the errors if you don't select verify?
Are the servers running different SP levels? Perhaps you have a different/corrupt version of 4mmdat.sys or whatever third-party tape driver you're using.

hi there,
we have selected verify.
they are all using SP4 with all the same updates.
They are HP C1533a DDS Tape Drives.
Thanks.
