    Backing up my drives

I recently bought a DVD burner with the sole purpose to back up all my files and folders and wipe the drives clean. What is the best way to do this?

you can install the software that came with it, probably nero or roxio, open the program and its pretty simple really. i have not had nor used nero for a couple of years, but i seem to recall that it was not as user friendly as roxio. if it is roxio, after install you may want to check the version and hit the roxio site for any updates, roxio did have some issues early on with xp. once you have everything updated if needed and running, open the program and choose what you want to do. 1 good thing to know, if you are saving any music, if you choose to burn it as data it will remain in the mp3 form and you can get alot more on your cd, if you choose to burn a music cd, it will reformat the mp3 to wav that will be playable on any cd player and you will get about 16 to 18 songs per 80 minute cd. thats about it.
